Letter from Fr. Vincent to Parents

Dear parents,


I trust this note finds you coping as well as you can given your multitude of tasks and responsibilities both inside and outside your home? No doubt, like all of us, the continuing consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic pose many challenges for you. Be assured you have the stamina and abilities to find remedies and solutions! I wish to infirm you that due to our ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there will not be a designated children’s Mass this coming Christmas Eve here at Sacred Heart Church, Sruleen.

Having sought advice about the matter, I have decided to err on the side of caution. Quite frankly, there is so much uncertainty concerning so many factors that I am not willing to provide a forum for making a very difficult situation worse. If there are parents who choose to join us with their children for Christmas Mass, there are a variety of options. There is also the opportunity to gather with us for the Mass of your choice via webcam. Consistent with current legal requirements, those who choose to gather with us at our church must adhere to mandatory mask-wearing, hand sanitization, and social distancing.
